Established in April 2014, MJP Accountants LLP specialise in the property sector and the preparation and certification of service charge and property company accounts.
We are an independent chartered accountants’ practice, a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW) and Partner member of the Association of Residential Managing Agents (ARMA).
Our client base is expansive. Our clients may be owners of properties varying in unit size and who need accounts produced for 3 or 4 lease units, to large scale apartment blocks (which may incorporate commercial units) and new housing developments. We work with owners and managing agents throughout England.
We have a flexible approach to work, which can accommodate each of the different needs of the owners and property managers who deal with them. We continue to build valuable relationships with both owners and their managing agents and provide assurance to clients and leaseholders that the accounting information is up to date and accurate. Many of our newest clients are freeholders or leaseholders of housing developments where the cost of common area up-keep needs to be accounted for through newly incorporated management companies. These companies are not subject to corporation tax, so we also deal with obtaining corporation tax filing exemptions from HMRC on the client’s behalf.
