Service Charge Accounts Preparation and Certification of Service Charge Accounts
We specialise in the preparation and certification of service charge accounts. In doing so we ensure you provide us with the correct property transaction information so that we can put together the accounts, including service charge income and expenditure statements, balance sheets and supplementary financial information and notes if required.
For your peace of mind, we are members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and Partner members of the Association of Residential Managing Agents (ARMA). As a result, we adhere to the ICAEW’s highest ethical standards and work to comply with ARMA’s guidelines on service charge accounts, so you can be confident your company financial statements are complying with the latest guidelines.
Property Management Limited Company Accounts
We prepare limited company accounts, which you, or MJP on your behalf, can file with Companies House. The accounts can also be used to circulate to Board Members and shareholders ahead of meetings and AGMs. Such documents can be turned around in a short space of time, usually less than two weeks, providing we are presented with all the relevant information. By taking over the production of the accounts, we free-up the managing agents to focus on what they do best; maintaining properties and dealing with residents.
Corporation Tax and Trust Tax Returns for Property Companies
We have extensive experience of dealing with HMRC on property tax related matters. As an HMRC authorised agent we can calculate and submit your corporation tax or trust tax returns. Furthermore, if there are any queries arising from your tax returns or payment of tax liabilities, we can liaise with HMRC on your behalf and appeal against any penalties that may have been raised.
Company Secretarial Services for Property Companies
In addition to producing accounts for filing at Companies House, we can also carry out the routine admin tasks (or company secretarial duties) which are required by law for limited companies. We ensure all the necessary documentation is filed correctly and by the appropriate deadlines and is another job which we can do, and which owners and their property managers do not need to worry about.
Legal and Compliance Aspects of Property Management
